Caricaturists drawing cartoon-style and a roving magician amazing guests with illusion

Beyond the food & beverage - the biggest event-planning anxiety is 'the social thing'; hoping everyone mixes & mingles...
We all know, connecting people socially and communally is the common denominator...the common goal of every type of get-together- whether at a company mixer, private party of adults or even a teen party.  So, its been pretty satisfying creating these 'social' opportunities and seeing people bond over my games.

ROW 34, notably one of Boston’s best restaurants in the Fort Point area- was celebrating their 5th anniversary – and wanted A Cake.  Not just any cake – a pop-out cake!  After extensive research (the closest available that wasn't cheap/cheesy in Miami & NY), more than a few event professionals said "call Craig Sutton".

Surprise 50th Birthday; Private home
My client wanted me to plan a surprise party for her husband's 50th B'Day party at their home.

She deferred to my creative imagination--- Here are highlights:

  • Imagine opening up your front door and there's a food truck parked in the driveway!  Guests were able to order from among a variety of trolley dogs & fries on the menu.
  • DESSERT: Why celebrate with ‘simply-standard’ frosted cupcakes that serve only ONE -when this super-sized  12” Cupcake surrounded by 5 dz. of these artisanal, amazing and delicious donuts (Brown butter hazelnut,  Belgian Dark Chocolate, Sea Salted Bourbon Caramel, Blackberry Basil Lime, and Toasted Coconut) could serve MANY! They were definitely large enough for sharing (but apparently wouldn’t.   It was kinda-like “Git yer own” Woo Hoo !
  • These Big oversized heads were aoll over the house..... They made for great photo ops with the birthday boy.

10 years! A woman was planning a 50th Birthday party for her best friend to be held at Beauporte Hotel; Gloucester MA and was calling 8 months in advance to book me.... again.  It was a dance party, start to finish.  10 years ago, I was recommended-by Fenway Park and DJ'd her friend's 40th in the EMC Club at Fenway Park and they had to have me back.  And I'm so appreciative.

THE PRIZE VAULT/CASH BOOTH :: The Center of Attention for MANY events this year

Clients ranging from Medtronic and Constant Contact, to City of Boston Credit Union to Deep Eddy's Vodka and many others brought "The Booth" in for Employee Appreciation & Recognition events and Sales-Incentives/Sales-Production & Rewards Programs(based on producing & reaching a certain level in sales).
Constellation Brands and Deep Eddys Vodka individually launched incentive programs and gave the sales reps of their distributor, Horizon Beverages a challenge to sell and reach a certain level in sales and –in addition to their regular commissions, get the chance to step into the prize vault/cash booth and win a LOT OF MONEY!
Cameron Real Estate Group created an incentive for their real estate agents to develop new leads, rewarding them with a chance to 'get in & win'
Trade Shows/Conventions/Festivals (event marketing & promotions)
City of Boston Credit Union, sponsor of the Annual South Boston Street Festival created immeasurable brand awareness & recognition with the Prize Vault as their centerpiece - attracting hundreds of people to visit their booth.
Realty-One Group showcasing at National Association of Realtors Expo held at Boston Convention Exhibition Center
Interesting footnote: (This west-coast based company previously booked a cash booth from another Boston area event company and when it showed up, it was-in the customer’s words “old, scratched, bulky and definitely-not what they. In stress-mode, they found BostonCashCube.com and asked if they could have it delivered/setup within a few hours-same day. DONE. Having come through and saving a key part of their booth promotion, I even got a personal thank you from the Vice President of Branding….
and I quote “YOU THE MAN!”.

The Dynamic Dueling Piano Duo.  A piano show that's 'double the fun' with lots of audience participation!

Annual Buzz Off For Kids;
Gillette Stadium; A large team of my face-painters, caricaturists, balloon twisters, with game stations spread throughout- keeps everyone engaged and entertained!

New England Patriots' Rob Gronkowski, One Mission's Ambassador is the 1st to get his head shaved and then hundreds of people from everywhere, get theirs shaved in support.  And 2019 is the 10th Annual!

I've worked with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly for at least 10-15 years and I get a warm feeling not only when they ask and invite me back each year but at each event I do for them.  I absolutely cherish my role as their DJ /Emcee for the Annual Thanksgiving Dinner held at Hyatt Harborside; getting the seniors engaged with trivia, music and dancing plus launching a little talent show - with a few of them performing!  And this past fall, the offer to Emcee & do a live auction for their 1st Taste of Grandma’s Kitchen Fundraiser; Hotel Marlowe.

My 1st Love & passion is being a DJ.  So to be asked to DJ/Emcee/style some of Boston's best events?? From Newbury St., all over the Back Bay, the Financial and Seaport District to everywhere in the state ???
Appreciation & pure soul satisfaction!

It was the first time this company had me DJ their annual office holiday reception scheduled from 4:30pm-7:30pm.  Not only was it in their offices located in the Financial District - my DJ booth was set up in someone's actual office!  Facing out a glass window, I felt like I was on the radio 🙂

I never brag about my talents, but when it comes to music, I "definitely don't do dull".  I was keeping the music, cocktail lounge-style yet upbeat.  So, while I could have kept it vibrant (and still relaxed) instead, I bumped it up around 7.
Then this conservative Boston office party turned into an office party with dancing.  As time wound down, with everyone having such a good time, my client extended me another hour.... then another hour.  We ended 9:30pm.  Great party.  Fantastic people! Love it!
